We are looking for a Tax Planning Director to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize the company’s tax liabilities and optimize its tax position.
Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
Conduct detailed analyses of tax laws and regulations to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to manage tax audits and disputes.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company, providing strategic advice to senior management.
Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions from a tax perspective, including due diligence and structuring.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of experience in Tax Planning
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proven experience in developing and implementing tax strategies.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
