Position Summary We are looking for an accomplished Vice President of Information Security to guide our client's cybersecurity strategy and operations. The role involves the creation and enforcement of a comprehensive cybersecurity framework that aligns with business goals and adheres to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in high-pressure environments and the ability to build and manage top-notch security teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a robust cybersecurity strategy.
Oversee product and enterprise security to protect customer data and corporate assets.
Implement governance, risk management, and compliance programs.
Ensure compliance with SOC 2/3, State/Federal RAMP, and other relevant regulations.
Establish security policies and procedures for security operations and data protection.
Design a security architecture covering network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
Manage relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure third-party security.
Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing security team.
Key Competencies
Develop a cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business goals.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
Lead and coordinate the response to cybersecurity incidents.
Implement a security awareness program to promote a strong cybersecurity culture.
Evaluate third-party vendors to minimize security risks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
15 years of experience in information security, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience scaling security programs in fast-paced environments, preferably in startups or tech companies.
Strong operational risk management experience, especially in the financial sector.
Success in building mature security functions in global organizations.
