About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Communications Surveillance - Natural Language Processing Model Specialist. This role is at the Vice President level and falls within the Governance & Assurance job function. The successful candidate will be a change agent, instrumental in the development, deployment, and maintenance of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and other model-based capabilities for the Communications Surveillance Program. This includes partnering with various divisions such as Technology, Compliance Analytics, Model Risk, and Validation to advance techniques for data processing, analysis, and management. The VP will also be involved in the selection of vendor solutions to enhance misconduct detection and will be responsible for developing and supporting controls to ensure the best technology is in place for risk detection and prevention.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in either the legal or financial industry. The role requires expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining innovative processes and technologies for electronic legal discovery or communications surveillance, as well as experience in training and deploying models. The VP will be expected to have a high level of comfort with technology solutions related to the role and to be proactive in creating strategies to address false positives, enhance risk detection, and respond to new trends in misconduct. Responsibilities also include overseeing NLP in the surveillance program, ensuring SLAs are met, and preparing metrics and reports for management and stakeholders. The position demands a commitment to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion and holding leaders accountable for equity in talent management.
