Description
Job Summary:
Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and non-conforming goods. Check goods received to purchase orders or receiving slips, maintain records and prepare receiving reports. Check quality, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify parts/materials. Route or deliver materials to appropriate department supervisor.
Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to :
Examine contents and compare with invoices, or purchase orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipment.
Package parts for outside vendors (i.e. heat treat, plating, grinding, etc.) and create PO's.
Keep pricing updated in the ERP system for vendors.
Coordinate truck schedule.
Process parts and paperwork for incoming inspection.
Identify and document damaged packages received.
Load and unload trucks.
Document returns from customers and follow through on disposition of non-conforming parts.
Process receiving receivers.
Maintain accurate inventory.
Maintain clean floors, work area, and packing tables.
Operate forklift, as required.
Identify and report quality discrepancies to manager.
Perform skills according to skill matrix.
Requirements
Position Specifications:
•H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
•Minimum of three year priors shipping/receiving experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•Intermediate math skills.
•Basic computer skills.
•Able to meet deadlines.
•Detail orientated.
•Customer service orientated (internal and external).
•Self-motivated and team player.
•Demonstrates organizational skills.
•Able to work in fast paced environment.
•Flexible.
•Forklift experience (Pindel certification mandatory)
Physical Demands Manual Dexterity
Visual accuracy, with or without corrective lenses.
Able to adapt to extreme hot or cold when on/near loading platforms.
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Stand, walk and twist at waist more than 2/3 of the workday.
Sit, kneel, bend at waist, and squat less than 1/3 of workday.
Climb an industrial ladder between 1/3 and 2/3 of workday.
Periodically push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs.
Lift:
1-30 lbs floor to waist between 1/3-2/3 of the work day
30-50+ lbs floor to waist less than 1/3 of the work day
1-40 lbs waist to chest between 1/3-2/3 of the work day
40-50+ lbs waist to chest less than 1/3 of the work day
1-50+ lbs, above chest less than 1/3 of the work day
