As a Senior Product Designer in the Windows Cloud Experiences Design team, you will be leading design for an entire area of our business, guiding designers to be their best. You will be responsible for building the best products on the planet and helping your team develop the vision to get us there. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other designers to understand user needs, define design requirements, and iterate feedback. As a designer on the team, you will lead larger scale projects, and help define and guide our business with your design and product expertise.

This role will support our core Management experiences of Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. Our Management User Experiences help IT Admins empower their employees every day. These experiences are mission critical for our business and require working across multiple organizations, disciplines, and technologies. Responsibilities

Lead large scale design projects utilizing you and your teams skills to deliver

You will generate and lead ideation solutions for complex products (e.g., involving many constraints, needing workarounds, requiring holistic view of interconnected systems) to improve product design

You will interact with teams across the company and perform Quality Audits (QAs) to ensure quality while demonstrating the ability to challenge design limitations. You’ll also produce designs and mentor others on their creation.

You will use your design skills to create clarity for your team and your product partners (Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, etc)

You will communicate with cross-disciplinary teams across all stages of design and development. You will also tell a compelling, convincing product story to a specific audience.

You will work with creative team members, program managers, and developers to define product features. You’ll collaborate with your team to deliver product design results while also providing guidance to product designers.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 5+ years of experience working in product or service design

OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years of experience working in product or service design

OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 8+ years of experience working in product or service design

OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 6+ years of experience working in product or service design

OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).

4+ years of experience shipping games or products and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process.

Mastery of industry standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photohop, After effects as examples)

Experience with prototyping tools (InVision, ProtoPie, Flinto, Framer, Unity, Unreal, etc.)

Portfolio highlighting end to end design solutions and User Centered Design thinking

Ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships across disciplines

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organization skills

Strategic thinking, problem solving, and consensus-building skills

Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
