Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician. This position primarily focuses on the clinical care of pediatric patients in the emergency department, however, responsibilities will include supervision and education of EM and pediatric residents, medical students, as well as an opportunity for non-clinical time related to the EM residency, and quality and operational initiatives. The position will include a faculty appointment to Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes occurrence-based malpractice coverage. Applicants should be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois at the time of hire.

Loyola is an active EMS Resource Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, regional burn center, and cardiovascular facility with an active aero-medical transport program. Loyola Medicine is a quaternary care system based in the western suburbs of Chicago that includes Loyola University Medical Center ( LUMC ) in Maywood, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital ( GMH ) in Melrose Park, MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and convenient locations offering primary and specialty care services from 1,772 physicians throughout Cook, Will and DuPage counties.

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicagos western suburbs. MacNeal is a 374-licensed-bed teaching hospital in Berwyn with advanced medical, surgical and psychiatric services, acute rehabilitation, an inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program and community clinics.
