As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll play a key role in both strategizing and executing our security roadmap. Responsibilities:
Implement Security: Craft and implement security measures that align with our business goals, from infrastructure management to data protection. Expect to be involved in both developing security strategies and rolling up your sleeves to make them happen.
Vulnerability and Risk Management: Conduct cyber security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities & risks.
Security Monitoring and Alerting: Ensure comprehensive monitoring and alerting is active across the environment (e.g. SIEM management).
Endpoint Security: Manage security of endpoints, including data inventory and protection (e.g. Jamf).
Cloud Security: Evaluate and integrate cloud security tools and practices to protect infrastructure and data stored in cloud environments.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) : Leverage cloud-centric IAM solutions and protocols (e.g. OAuth, OIDC, SAML) including RBAC, ABAC, Assumed Roles, and Entitlement Management.
Security Metrics & Reporting: Develop security metrics and dashboards for both Technical and Executive level reporting.
Compliance and Regulatory Needs: Work in collaboration with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to ensure compliance with regulatory demands and cybersecurity requirements.You’ll maintain a keen eye on security compliance across development, infrastructure, and operational practices.
Collaborate for Success: Bridge technical gaps between departments, fostering a culture of security awareness and integrating security best practices throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For:
Security Focus: A well-rounded skill set in security technologies and principles, including cloud.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive security practices into our operating environment.
Exceptional Communication: Works effectively with a team in a remote environment.
Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Initiative : A self-starter mentality.
Foundation : Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Cloud: AWS security architecture and engineering.
Security Automation & Orchestration: Ability to build and leverage automated solutions to security needs
Compliance: Familiarity with one or more: NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI, NYDFS Part 500 or similar
Languages: Infrastructure development experience with one or more: Python, Go, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Development Practices: Experience with Github, CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
Data Privacy and Protection: Awareness of data privacy and protection requirements.
Security certification: CISSP, AWS Security, or equivalent certification.
