The Role:
As a Research Associate I within the Protein Science team, you will play a critical role in advancing predictive functionality assays and understanding the structure-function relationship of our protein products. Your contributions will be instrumental in the ongoing development of innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the characterization and performance of EVERY’s biotechnology products.
Key Responsibilities
Assay Development and Execution : Thoughtfully design, construct, and meticulously test techniques to refine the structural and functional attributes of protein products.
Collaboration and Teamwork : Actively engage with fellow Protein Science team members and collaborators in other technical teams to improve our approach to product characterization in both biochemical and food science areas.
Method Implementation : Perform routine method executions to provide essential support for projects across the company, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of various protein functionality assays.
Innovation and Learning : Help develop new assays based on literature and external resources, and conduct assays for new projects. Actively participate in learning within the field of food science, applying new knowledge and techniques to execute novel assays aligned with the company’s evolving priorities.
Equipment Maintenance : Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of equipment and systems.
Data Presentation : Present findings with careful data analysis and interpretation.
Additional Duties : Fulfill any additional assigned duties as required.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or Analytics.
Industry Experience : 1 year of lab experience and 1 year of industry experience, preferably in Biotech or Food Science.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in PCR and other molecular biology techniques, HPLC, and colorimetric analytical assays.
Collaborative Spirit : Ability to work effectively within a team and across different departments.
Analytical Mindset : Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
Detail-Oriented : Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Innovative Thinking : A proactive learner who stays updated with the latest advancements in food science and applies new knowledge creatively.
Adaptability : Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 + Stock Options
