Your Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Strategy and M&A Consultant (Consultant) is responsible for developing strategies, strategic insights and initiatives to deliver business outcomes for IBM Software and IBM Global Technology Sales in alignment with IBM's Hybrid Cloud and AI strategy. The Senior Consultant's major focus is on strategies and programs to drive profitable software revenue growth and accelerating client adoption of our Hybrid Cloud and AI platforms.

Responsibilities include:

The Senior Consultant will, as assigned, lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects.

Specific responsibilities may include market and competitive analysis, financial and operational analysis, data collection and integration, root cause identification and support for strategic programs.

The consultant must work effectively in cross functional (Product, Sales, Ecosystem, Finance, Marketing, HR, etc.) teams to develop strategies and will provide updates/communications to senior executive stakeholders. As strategies are approved for implementation, the strategy consultant will help lead change initiatives to ensure strategies and programs deliver targeted business outcomes.

Strategies are developed through a consultative, data-driven, analytically oriented approach -- underpinned by an understanding of business dynamics, competitiveness, business and operations strategy and change management.

The consultant will use their expertise and experience in software and technology Go To Market (GTM) to structure analyses, integrate data, identify root causes and formulate strategies to address challenges and capture opportunities.

The Senior Consultant will also meet, as assigned, the planning, control, and administration of financial activities related to assigned projects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 4-6 years experience with a major business Consulting firm, Software, Sales, Data Science or Banking/Finance

At least 4-6 years experience with a major business Consulting firm, Software, Sales, Data Science, or Banking/Finance

MBA in related field
