Outside Sales/Business Development Manager - Architecture & Design Industry - Stone, Tile & Custom Products
We are seeking an ambitious, client-focused Outside Sales/Business Development Manager to join our client's growing team of professionals. With their hand-curated selections, they create inspired interiors and exteriors.
The Outside Sales/Business Development Manager must be able to identify and meet customer needs, apply design ideas to come up with creative options, and manage projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and organized, have strong communication and problem-solving skills, be adept at working in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for award-winning design - all while providing superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage needs for the company's most important accounts, consisting of designers, architects, and contractors
Confidence in approaching and collaborating with important clients on complex, multifaceted project design plans
Work closely with the Senior Inside Sales team to identify project opportunities
Assess project scope, budget and timing parameters; recommend materials to meet project needs
Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet or exceed project timelines
Maintain a calm demeaner under pressure and work well with colleagues.
Deliver excellent and timely follow-up and strive for world-class customer service.
Provide outreach to clients on new products and design opportunities, including meetings at client locations
Maintain regular communications with client base to continue building relationships
Attend regular on-site product knowledge training sessions with the company's vendor partners
Qualifications
College degree with an emphasis in design or a certificate in residential design is preferred
3 years in sales and business development
Excellent client management abilities
Stone and tile product knowledge
Familiarity with kitchen and bath design
Ability to interpret basic architectural drawings and understand the construction process
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Previous knowledge of CRM platform preferred
Excellent client relationship-building skills and management
An excellent multi-tasker and problem solver
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Ability to travel the market and meet directly with clients/dealers
Compensation
Annual Salary + Bonus/Commission Structure + Monthly Car Allowance + Full Benefits Package
