Our Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a thought leader in epidemiology for a Principal Scientist position in our Health Sciences Practice in Natick, MA. In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide a high level of leadership and collaboration on projects related to epidemiologic evaluations involving pharmaceutical products, such as evaluation of adverse/side effects, review of epidemiologic literature, comparative effectiveness research, analyses using electronic health data, and/or assistance with regulatory documents and analyses. You will lead projects, identify new clients, build on relationships with existing clients, and develop new business in related Health Sciences areas, particularly in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance.

You will be responsible for:

Using expertise in epidemiology to solve diverse and often complex human health problems affecting a range of clients

Attracting and developing new projects and clients

Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients

Providing project management and project budget oversight

Providing strategic consulting

Promoting Exponents multidisciplinary consulting expertise by publishing papers, presenting at conferences, and conducting seminars

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, or related scientific field

10+ years of consulting or academic experience with a proven track record of attracting new and repeat clients or funding

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Outstanding reputation among clients and the scientific community for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise

Adept management abilities and demonstrated project management experience

Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects

Strong commitment to professional development
