Microsoft SQL Technical Architect Job Description 1
a. Eliciting and documenting technical and security requirements for HA SQL configuration, implementation, and migration.
b. Leading ongoing reviews of technical processes and developing optimization strategies.
c. Work with stakeholder staff to define and document target SQL Server functional and architecture requirements.
d. Work with stakeholder staff to map CalVCB solution requirements to target HA SQL capabilities and architecture.

a. Designing and implementing a HA SQL infrastructure landing zone for the migration of CalVCB databases.
b. Performing and assisting with Microsoft SQL Server management.
c. Performing and assisting with DevOps migration.
d. Deliver technical training to CalVCB.

Not Known Mandatory Skill Mandatory Staff Qualifications
1) Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience with the design and implementation of HA and DR MS SQL Server configurations.
2) Minimum of three (3) years of experience with the development of detailed cost models for acquisition, implementation, and migration to HA and DR MS SQL Server configurations.
3) Minimum of two (2) years of experience with hands-on development, implementation, and maintenance of MS SQL database(s).
4) Minimum of two (2) years of experience working closely with stakeholders to establish MS SQL Server migration strategies, roadmaps, and priorities.
5) Possession of a Bachelor's Degree with major course work in information technology.
Desirable Skill Desirable Staff Qualifications
1) Minimum of two (2) years of experience establishing detailed MS SQL Server migration project plans and executing against those plans.
2) Minimum of two (2) years of prior experience working on information technology projects in support of governmental agencies.
3) At least three (3) prior experiences providing technical training to support staff.
4) Possession of MS SQL Server certifications.

Staff Experience Worksheet (Attachment 3) and resumes must validate that the proposed consultant meets the mandatory qualifications. Include the actual dates (with month and year) of the engagement/employment that validate the years of required skills and experience AND include copies of degree and/or certifications, as applicable. Staff experience must have occurred within the last five (5) years.
