Intern Mental Health Therapist

Position Overview:

The Intern Mental Health Therapist is a pivotal role designed for candidates currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program for Practicum, Internship I, or Internship II. This position is geared towards individuals with a strong foundation in leadership, problem-solving, and executive abilities, aiming to contribute significantly to mental health practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement group therapy sessions for both adults and children, ensuring adherence to state mental health practice regulations.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Electronic Health Record systems, with a keen ability to learn new technologies swiftly.

Exhibit excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills to maintain high-quality customer service.

Manage time effectively, meet deadlines consistently, and adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

Design, advertise, and execute therapeutic sessions across individual, group, and family therapy settings.

Required Qualifications: Enrollment in a relevant Master's Degree program (Practicum, Internship I, or Internship II).

Proven ability to design and facilitate group therapy for diverse age groups.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in developing treatment plans, clinical case notes, and completing Diagnostic Assessments (DAs).

Strong communication skills, stable interpersonal boundaries, and timely documentation capabilities.

Familiarity with diverse client demographics and proficiency in conducting various therapy formats, including individual, family, and couples therapy.

Skilled in integrating multiple therapeutic modalities and proficient with Office 365 and specific Electronic Health Record systems (Valant preferred).

This role is ideal for candidates who are dynamic, detail-oriented, and looking to impact mental health services effectively through therapeutic and administrative expertise.
