Position Overview: Seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to join the team in downtown Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring quality control and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle, from pre-construction to closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Oversee procurement and purchasing activities, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other project team members to address issues and facilitate project success.
Prepare and present project reports, updates, and financial analyses to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on Retail, Mixed-Use, Commercial, and Multifamily/Hospitality projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PMP or similar certification is a plus.
