Opportunity Summary:
Numet, Senior Estimator
Numet is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for the machining and fabricating of aircraft engine components. The Senior Estimator will report to the Site Lead.
Role Accountabilities:
Preparation of detailed cost estimates for the machining and fabricating of aircraft engine components.
Identification of all raw material and bought-out requirements from detail drawings.
Preparation of robust and efficient methods of manufacture as a basis for completing cost estimates. Methods are to include all special process requirements such as heat treatment, coatings, testing, etc.
Review with Engineering for labor hours and process.
Calculation of standard hours for all manufacturing operations.
Identification of all Non-Recurring Engineering Costs (NREs) associated with the development of the components being estimated to include: Manufacturing Process Development
Tool Design
Fixture & Tooling Cost
CNC Programming
CMM Programming
FAI
UPPAP
VSE & ESA Processes
Person Specification and Other Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering
Preferred 5 years experience in aircraft engine components
Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of process related standards
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
Proficient computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Strong understanding of tooling methodologies
Must be a US Citizen
Facility Requirements: Office Area: 95% of the time
Noise: Moderate on manufacturing floor, low to none in office setting
