Job Summary:

As the Director of Program Management at Salesforce AI Research, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for leading and managing a global team of program managers to ensure the effective execution of our programs and delivering exceptional customer experiences in an often ambiguous environment. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, set clear objectives, create positive interactions and partnerships across Salesforce will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Program Governance: Establish and implement robust program governance processes to ensure clear communication, risk mitigation, and issue resolution. Monitor program performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Support and drive communications in the Weekly Research Team staff meetings from rest of the org

Continuously evaluate and enhance program management processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality of project delivery.

Strategic Partnerships: Partner with Ryan Aytay and his Strategic Partnerships team on a coordinated engagement plan for the Chief Scientist with Salesforce’s most strategic partners. Ensure the regular involvement of the Chief Scientist in conversation with these accounts, demonstrating and measuring efforts to link arms and partner at the highest levels. Develop relationships at these accounts that will help move mutual agendas forward. Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex and high-impact programs across these partners.

Logistics for Events : Ensure smooth operations for the AI research team across

Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor a team of program managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster their professional growth and development. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the program management team. (Across APAC and US)

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with the COO and the and stakeholders to identify program dependencies, synergies, and opportunities for improvement.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between different teams to ensure seamless execution of programs.

Customer Focus: Champion a customer-centric mindset throughout program execution to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet customer needs and drive customer satisfaction

Risk Management & Automation: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with programs and proactively implement mitigation strategies or escalate to the COO. Resolve escalated issues and start automation to ensure focus on complex problem-solving to ensure successful program outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in program management, with at least 5 years at a leadership level, preferably in the technology industry or software development.

Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and best practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinker with the ability to align program goals with broader business objectives.

Experience in managing large-scale, complex, and cross-functional programs with a focus on delivering outstanding results.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in challenging situations.

Previous experience in the CRM, cloud computing, or enterprise software industry is advantageous.
