Want to work a PRN position but can commit to working more hours for a higher pay rate, our PRN 3 position might be the right fit for you!

Requirements include:

Must have one full year of RN experience

Work a minimum of 6, 12-hour shifts per pay period (every two weeks)

Work 3 Holidays per year (as least 1 winter holiday)

Work 3 weekend shifts per schedule as defined by unit supervisor

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What will you be doing in this role:

You’ll be assessing, planning and evaluating patient care needs and providing age and culturally appropriate care while carrying out physician orders. Our nurses administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, monitor vital signs and instruct and educate patients and families.

Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients. Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using the Meditech computerized documentation system and be part of the healthcare team that will oversee discharge planning needs. You will also help support new staff through mentoring and orientation.

What qualifications you will need:

Current Indiana RN licensure or active Compact State RN license

Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing, Associates Degree required.

You will need a current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.

ACLS, and NIHSS certification obtained within 6 months of hire date. Certifications to be maintained throughout employment

TCAT course completion within a year of employment

One year of Registered Nurse RN experience

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

Critical thinking skills, crucial discernment and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Excellent collaboration between all staff/units and shifts.
