Northern Trust Asset Management is a multi-asset class investment manager offering a broad range of investment solutions. Asset classes under management include Equities, FX, Futures, Options, and Fixed Income. The firm is seeking a candidate whose primary role is to provide data and analytics support to traders.
Responsibilities will include:
Transactional data analysis and performance measurement of brokers, algos, and execution platforms via third party vended TCA products and internal broker monitoring tools.
Working directly with traders to evaluate and improve the quality of execution across asset classes.
Commission management including maintenance of internal CSA program.
Monitoring of financial markets and upcoming market events to aid traders in evaluating and developing implementation strategies.
Working with traders and internal partners to create, enhance, and maintain presentation materials around best execution and order flow.
Working as part of a global team with members based in London, Chicago, Hong Kong.
Prerequisites for role:
Knowledge of investments, including terminology, instruments and general industry practices is required.
Strong analytical and communication skills are required to research and resolve queries and issues.
Ability to work independently in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment.
College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required.
3-5 years of industry work experience preferred.
Preference for a candidate who has or is willing to work toward a CFA or MBA.
