Sr. Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Sybersense is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Cybersecurity Systems Engineering candidates who are experienced in Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity to support our Navy customer. The individual will determine if engineering and security solutions are practical, reliable, compliant and interoperable for the execution/implementation on Navy Networks and within other Navy infrastructures. The engineer will support both the Cybersecurity Program Manager (CPM) and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), with a zero-trust architecture mindset, to enhance enterprise cyber capabilities with innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert recommendations to shape technical and non-technical cybersecurity requirements.
Implement and support DOD and DON Cybersecurity requirements, policy, and operations.
Monitor and evaluate compliance of mission-critical systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and security events.
Ensure all information-sharing processes with the Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN) include top-notch cybersecurity.
Apply development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) methodology for optimal mission assurance solutions.
Troubleshoot complex cybersecurity problems with minimal interruptions to command operations.
Review, validate, and recommend solutions to the ISSM, evaluating and reporting on new tools and trends in the information security landscape.
Key Requirements:
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Ability to pass a CI Scope Polygraph
10+ years of documented cybersecurity experience with Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of both classified and non-classified DOD systems using the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Proficiency in ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), POA&Ms, NIST, DIACAP, NISPOM, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and RMF package development
Expertise in eight (8) key cybersecurity areas: Architecture and Policy, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Incident Response and Forensic Analysis, Penetration Testing, Secure DevOps, and Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF)
Strong written skills and experience working with diverse project teams
Skilled with Microsoft 365 Impact Level 5 (M365 IL 5) cloud-based productivity suite and SharePoint Online (SPO)
Degree and Certification:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or another engineering or technical discipline (or an additional 10 years of relevant experience in place of the degree)
Active certification in one of the following: Certified in Governance Risk and Compliance, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), CompTIA Security+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
