Summary
Assist in the implementation of procurement management across all functional business areas of the company; manage strategic initiatives related to specific areas of Indirect and Direct spend, assist with functional area thrift projects, conduct cost savings analysis, RFx Events to include Request for Proposals, Reverse Auctions, Forward Auctions and Liquidations, vendor negotiations, contract terms and compliance. Assist the functional area contract owners with contract agreements and exceptions.
Responsibilities
· Foster existing relationships and drive coordinated efforts across the company, where appropriate, in order to leverage synergies.
· Assist in the creation, implementation and management of sourcing strategies in order to leverage corporate expenditures, improve the procurement process, and reduce costs or improve gross margin.
Assist in driving negotiations with suppliers; supplier vendor agreements, confidentiality, and professional services agreements. Credit compliance report analysis.
Apply advanced purchasing techniques/strategies, using eRFx tools.
Train suppliers and functional area spend managers on using the RFx tools as needed.
Communicate to manager any issues that might arise regarding elements within the RFx process.
Provide feedback and ideas for ongoing improvements to the supplier interface and RFx process.
Assist in ideas for marketing and promoting the RFx process throughout the organization.
Conduct the contract management function of setting up executed contracts in CounselLink and Documentum
Monitor the [email protected] mailbox as part of the team's contract management responsibilities.
Approval and auditing of items setup by various functional areas in the corporate ERP system.
Primary Accountabilities:

· 25% eRFx and RFx event management and bid analysis, including vendor management and assistance in vendor RFP responses
· 25% Conduct the contract management function of setting up executed contracts in CounselLink and Documentum
· 15% Creation of eRFx and RFx events including but not limited to RFPs, RFIs, Reverse and Forward Auctions.
· 10% Functional area spend manager discovery meetings to gather initial data in order to conduct RFx events.
· 10% Monitor the [email protected] mailbox
· 5% Spend manager assistance for various supplier contracts including but not limited to PSAs, NDAs, Recycling Agreements, Amendments, etc.
· 5% Monitor & audit the Item approval process
· 5 % Monitor the [email protected] mailbox
Requirements
High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years Finance and/or Sourcing (direct and indirect) experience preferred including RFx and negotiations
MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, and strong Excel knowledge, required
Minimum of 2 - 3 years Administration of RFx software, preferred but not required
SQL Database or ERP Query creation and reporting experience, preferred but not required
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including effective negotiation and presentation skills
Demonstrated analytical skills with a problem solving and process improvement orientation
Prefer applied knowledge of e RFx event setup, execution, and problem solving
