We are full-service event planners at off-site events and at our historic, exclusive venues: Glen Foerd on the Delaware, Bartram's Garden, and the Pearl S. Buck Estate. Overview: Jamie Hollander Catering & Events is hiring part-time event Bartenders for the 2024 season at our exclusive venues in Philadelphia and Bucks County! We employ hard-working, friendly people who have an eye for detail, who are attentive to their guests and who value our reputation for outstanding food and exceptional service.
This is a part-time position; however, we have plenty of hours available. Most shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This position can be a great supplemental income or a great base income!
Responsibilities
Bartenders are responsible for helping with set up, stock, and break down bars at events. Bars typically include beer, wine, a variety of liquor (anywhere from a few selections to a full bar set up), and non-alcoholic products
Responsibilities include: Preparing and mixing beverages for guests
Assessing guests needs and preferences to make appropriate recommendations
Maintaining a clean and organized work space
Provide high-quality service to guests and vendors
Responsible for following all company policies and procedures for safety and security, including checking guests’ identification for their age
Job Requirements
1+ years Bartending experience preferred
Banquet experience preferred
Must be available on weekends with reliable transportation
Must be willing to work 10+ hour shifts, weekends
Friendly and positive attitude
Neat and professional appearance
Customer service oriented
Ability to multitask and prioritize many requests
Attention to detail
Enthusiasm working alone or working in a team
Ability to lift 35+ lbs
Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
Follow safety and security procedures and rules
Working Conditions
Working conditions involve noise, heat, changes in temperature, kitchen elements, odors,
moisture, etc.
May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
