**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Chicago, supporting exciting projects that improve community infrastructure. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Technical oversight of design staff and team members for projects associated with municipal water / wastewater / drainage infrastructure improvements.

+ Providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

+ Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

+ Developing construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

+ Performing quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

+ Preparing technical specification sections.

+ Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

+ Providing guidance and mentoring to entry-level engineers.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Registered Professional Engineer

+ 5+ years of relevant industry experience

+ Previous experience with AutoCAD.

+ Strong working knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a team environment

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00.
