About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide executive leadership in establishing and realizing the organization's information technology vision and strategy. The CIO will be responsible for aligning IT initiatives with public sector operations, ensuring that IT systems and policies support the agency's goals and programs, and driving technological innovation. This role demands a visionary, servant leader with extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams, strategic planning, and transforming organizations to meet the needs of the community. The CIO will also be tasked with effective communication with a range of stakeholders, including legislative members, and fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the IT division.Candidates for the CIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least seven years of executive and senior leadership experience in a large and complex organization. The role requires a deep understanding of digital transformation, financial management, emerging technologies, and state and federal laws related to health and human services. The successful candidate will be skilled in strategic thinking, communication, project management, team development, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making. Abilities in leadership, change management, innovation, and collaboration are also essential. Experience in a State of Texas agency is preferred, and the CIO will be expected to work with the Texas Department of Information Resources to ensure compliance with state technology strategies.
