Job Purpose
The Content Experiences team explores how users engage with content through digital and other channels, coordinating across content creation, design and technology teams to build, publish and measure the effectiveness of content.
The team partners with external and internal communications teams to manage channels and engagement for published content as well as working with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure their respective content is accurate and achieving its main objectives.
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Digital Content Experiences, overseeing the SEO research and strategic enhancements to maximize the volume of inbound organic traffic from search engines to the external website, westrock.com
Key Responsibilities
Perform keyword research to help identify keywords to track and create a keyword targeting strategy aligned with pages of WestRock.com.
Analyze performance data through Uber Suggest, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other tools to refine our content strategy.
Conduct site audit to identify technical and content improvements to enhance SEO.
Benchmark and monitor competitor performance and activities.
Collaborate with content strategy and marketing teams by providing specific keyword research to help create engaging, SEO-friendly content.
Work with web team to implement technical and content changes across westrock.com.
Create and execute link building strategy.
Skills And Experience
Experience with SEO keyword research tools, such as Uber Suggest, Conductor, Arefs, etc.
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media and related strategies go together with SEO.
Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs.
A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations.
An up to date, working knowledge of current, past and projected trends in the SEO industry.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems and make decisions.
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal customers.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
5+ years of experience in developing and managing SEO strategies.
Experience working with enterprise content management systems (such as Sitecore, SharePoint Adobe Experience Manager, etc.) is a plus.
Experience working in a global environment with sensitivity to cross-cultural communications issues and opportunities.
