Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Data Architect with a Secret Clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Washington, DC. **This position is full time on-site at Fort McNair, Washington, DC**

**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**

+ Supporting platform systems administration, including investigation, resolution, and escalation of Tier 1 & 2 issues for business-critical platforms for our customers.

+ Implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and documenting system configurations (Win 2016/2019 & RHEL 7/8)

+ Hardening systems to meet security standards

+ Maintaining COTS & GOTS software

+ Sustaining production systems (i.e., firewalls, file servers, security monitoring systems, etc.) that serve many end users

**Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

+ Current active Secret Security Clearance

+ 4-5 years of general systems administration experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities

+ Cloud Platform Knowledge:

+ Understand the cARMY cloud ecosystem managed by the Army’s Cloud Management Agency (ECMA). This includes knowledge of common cloud shared services, global connectivity, and required Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) services for all Army applications, systems, and data hosted in the cloud.

+ Familiarity with Azure and AWS.

+ Operating Systems and Server Management:

+ Proficiency in Unix and Windows systems to manage and operate cloud-based hosts.

+ Experience with server administration in a cloud environment.

+ Virtualization and Containers:

+ Understand virtualization technologies for managing cloud-based resources.

+ Familiarity with containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient deployment and scalability.

+ Scripting and Automation:

+ Proficiency in scripting languages such as BASH, Python, or PowerShell.

+ Ability to automate routine tasks using scripts.

+ Networking and Connectivity:

+ Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and firewalls in a cloud environment.

+ Ability to configure virtual networks and ensure connectivity.

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or engineering

**Working Environment & Conditions**

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
