Legal Assistant
Do you have the skills and proven work ethic as a Legal Assistant, or similar role, with at least two years’ experience? We are looking for a legal assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Essential Roles
Coordinate and provide communication that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered
Handle case assignments, draft documents, review case progress and determine case closure
Help clients achieve understanding and comfort in the legal process
Facilitate multiple case aspects (case coordination, information sharing, etc.)
Help clients make informed decisions by acting as their advocate regarding their legal questions, suggested providers and proper documentation
Develop effective working relations and cooperate with legal team throughout the entire case management process
Take the extra mile and interact with clients to keep track of their progress and to ensure satisfaction
Record cases information, complete accurately all necessary forms and produce statistical reports
Promote quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes
Assess and address legal issues
Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules, and regulations
Skills
Outstanding knowledge of case management principles, healthcare management and insurance practices
Effective communication skills both oral and written
Knowledge of Office programs such as Microsoft Office, emails, faxing, and video conferencing
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
Compassionate in dealing with clients and teamwork skills to solve adverse or unknown hurdles
Ability to use logic, reasoning, and previous experience to analyze, evaluate and translate situations, with this
Talent to exercise good judgment, understand adverse situations, and make appropriate decisions
Education and Experience
High school Education or the equivalent required
2 years of Personal Injury experience (preferred but not required)
Current case manager license, certification, or registration (preferred but not required)
BS degree in related legal field a plus
Proven working experience in case management requested
