In the role of Senior Technology Consultant , we'll count on you to:
Evaluate and develop solutions for complex technology service needs for HDR business units
Evaluate multiple technology alternatives and apply those options to best solution based on business needs
Evaluate new or modified technologies to determine applicability to HDR
Focus on technologies that could be leveraged to provide improved or more cost-effective services for HDR
Serve as an advisor/consultant to other technology teams, vendors and business units on technology projects and plans
Develop project/program plans and provide oversight
Interface with executive IT and business leadership on presentations/proposals
Provide advisory and leadership services on technology standards, best practices and procedure improvements on a wide range of technology areas
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related technical area, or the relevant combination of education and relevant experience
A minimum of 20 years experience in working with, analysis, design and implementation, and planning for technology systems
Proficiency with IT Infrastructure Services Consultant
In-depth technical knowledge of infrastructure technologies
Systems requirements gathering and execution into applicable solutions
Creative problem solving
Ability to evaluate new technologies/concepts and apply those to the big-picture technology service needs of HDR
Broad technology experience in Infrastructure Technologies including but not limited to personal computer hardware, servers, operating systems, supporting technologies (such as anti-virus, software deployment, remote control), software configurations, general networking fundamentals
Knowledge and experience in an Architecture and Engineering environment
Ability to plan and manage design and implementation of complex infrastructure technology systems

Required Qualifications
Bachelor or Technical degree in Computer Science or closely related field, or combination of education and relevant experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience as SQL Server DBA
Experience in designing and architecting databases
Possess and be able to apply knowledge of database principles and practices
Self-starter, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to perform tasks in a dynamic environment many times working under tight delivery schedules
Special preference will be given to candidates with experience in ESRI, SDE or ArcObjects programming
