Job Overview:
As Director of Operations, you are a change agent in taking an entrepreneurial approach to leading the operations of a multimillion dollar, multifamily portfolio comprised of apartment home communities.
Roles You Will Play:
The Business Owner
Run your own asset operations mini-empire by building on your already vast knowledge of the real estate world
Act as the COO of your portfolio by overseeing and shaping its day-to-day operations
Oversee fiduciary planning and governance, assess performance, create action plans to exceed goals, and engage in creative problem-solving especially when it comes to residents
Operate with a forward-thinking mindset, maintaining an awareness of growth and the capability to scale larger
The Team Leader
Function as the executive presence among your community teams by setting the tone for how they operate and putting them in the position to score a winning goal every time
Mold and grow your community teams according to the culture and goals of your portfolio
Serve as a mentor who celebrates your teams successes and converts their slipups into positive learning experiences
Trust that your teams know how to make the right calls because youve set them up to do so and you lead by example
The Strategic Partner
Collaborate with your Director of Investments to ensure that each community in your shared portfolio is performing in accordance with its business plan
Form constructive partnerships with your regional support teams (Marketing, Facilities, and Training), Construction Management team (during renovations), and Operations Support team for maximum performance success
Display your in-depth understanding of managing budgets and executing financial success in your partnership with the Investment team and as you get hands-on with acquisitions and building pro forma
