What you will be doing:
Partnering with the company’s CFO and other executives
Taking a lead on financing strategies, finance reporting and operations, and more complex finance projects
Overseeing a team comprised of a Controller, Property Accountants, and Accounts Payable Associates
Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders
Managing finance reporting, financial tracking, and budgets for all group entities
Overseeing financial aspects of acquisitions and sales
Managing bank relations and communication with lenders
Ensuring timely and accurate completion of group entities' annual tax returns
Participating in debt structuring
Leading projects related to systems, implementations, and new technologies
Providing leadership and supervision to the Finance and Accounting department
Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees
Communicating expectations, monitoring job results, and providing feedback to encourage personal growth and development
Fostering a positive working environment that promotes teamwork
Modeling leadership and staff development to cultivate new leaders within the organization
Performing other assigned duties as necessary
Experience you will need:
Adherence to the company's mission and values in all aspects of the job
Minimum 10-15 years’ experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent relevant work experience
Professional Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred
Proven leadership experience in personnel management
Experience with tax returns
Familiarity with property management accounting software, such as Rent Manager or Yardi
Strong attention to detail, organization, and precision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity
Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly
Responsive and open to feedback and growth
Hands-on approach to work
Strong leadership and delegation skills to maximize team effectiveness
Real estate development, acquisition, and/or property management industry experience
Excellent time management skills
