The Department of Computer Science seeks applicants for a multi-year position beginning August 2024 at the rank of visiting professor, visiting assistant professor, or visiting instructor as appropriate to the candidate’s qualifications. An initial offer will be made for a one-year appointment, with an extension for up to three years available with a positive review of teaching in the first year.
The successful candidate will teach multiple sections of courses from our introductory curriculum, such as introductory programming in Python, data structures in C or Java, discrete mathematics, or computer systems fundamentals, plus at least one further computer science course at an intermediate or advanced level. The teaching load is five course sections per year; our largest sections comprise about 30 students.
