About this role
What will you be responsible for?
•Support the growth of Newmont's equity valuation by driving consistent messaging and effective investor interactions
•Key company spokesperson for the investment community, which includes interacting with investors, and the sell-side
•Plan and disseminate accurate and relevant information to the marketplace to assist investors in making informed decisions
•Participate in investment conferences, non-deal roadshows, tours and site visits
•Work with internal partners to continuously develop an in-depth understanding of operations, financials, businesses, accounting, and key metrics
•Supports the quarterly earnings process - facilitates earnings materials including Q&A documents
•Create and compile preparation materials for Senior Management ahead of earnings calls or investor events
•Drives the efficiency and effectiveness of the Investor Relations function through engagement with of a high performing team, sustainable framework for IR and execution of a competitive IR strategy
•Contributes to IR strategy and defines team objectives for areas of responsibility including:
o Quarterly Earnings Releases, Annual Report and Capital Markets Day
o Analysis of industry peers performance, reporting and key messages
o Ongoing ad hoc projects and financial analysis for Senior Management
o Preparation of materials and analysis for the Board of Directors
o Identification and management of high quality partners, such as investment banks
Your role will consist of
Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
•Responsible for the preparation of analysis and presentation material used by Senior Management.
•Take the lead in working on special projects and analysis for the Chief Financial Officer
•Project manage the preparation of materials for annual Investor Day events.
•Accountable for the preparation of materials to support the proxy and annual shareholder meetings and subsequent engagement, including leading Proxy meetings on behalf of the Investor Relations Team
•Oversite of Q&A documents and preparation of materials to support executives ahead of conferences
•Identify and implement global processes and systems that ensure the sustainability of the IR function and reflect a continuous improvement mindset.
•Ensure the establishment and maintenance of department documentation.
•Solve problems, remove obstacles and take decisive action to support team attainment of goals.
•Support preparation of Company press releases to ensure timely and accurate dissemination to the market in accordance with Reg. FD.
•Ensure time, focus and priorities of team are aligned appropriately.
•Demonstrate Newmont Values and hold others accountable for doing the same.
•Assist in developing a solid department succession pipeline; improved bench strength year-over-year.
•Motivate others, instill passion and engage all employees on the team.
•Support a high-performing team, including direct reports through leadership practices (e.g. employee goal setting, delegation, coaching, mentoring, development of others).
•Build trust and credibility and manage relationships with internal networks to stay informed and develop a deep knowledge base of Newmont operations and projects performance.
•Build and maintain strong internal relationships that assure speed and teamwork. Promote an open and collaborative environment by encouraging the sharing of information and resources across boundaries. Key constituents include MDs, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Business Development.
•Drive new and innovative solutions for Investor Relations by staying informed on industry, business and global trends.
•Maintain extensive knowledge of our competitors financial and operational performance as well as the "junior" companies and exploration space.

Your training, skills, and education checklist
Here is what we would need to see from you!
•In depth and detailed knowledge of the mining industry including the sales and marketing process, 10+ total years of experience.
•Proven leadership, inter-personal, and relationship building skills.
•Finance knowledge and understanding of US GAAP desired.
•A broad and solid understanding of the gold industry including our competitors, junior companies and exploration activity, and the macro economic factors that impact the industry.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills and a sense of "executive presence" required; ability to communicate at the most senior levels within the Company, as well as with institutional investors and analysts.
Working conditions and location
•The position is located in the Denver corporate office but may require travel, both international and domestic.
•Hybrid-working model with in-office hours required for team collaboration and organization alignment

The salary range offered for this role is USD $160,000 - 191,000. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
