About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Behavioral Health to serve as the behavioral health leader across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight and mentorship to behavioral health clinicians, leading clinical quality initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and monitor programs. This role also involves serving as the primary, client-facing clinical leader for various lines of business, acting as the internal subject matter expert for psychiatry in risk programs, and spending a portion of time directly delivering virtual behavioral health care. The Head of Behavioral Health will also be expected to support business growth through thought leadership, conference participation, and client relationships.Applicants must be board-certified in adult psychiatry, hold an active medical license in good standing, and have at least 5 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 3 years in clinical program design and experience with payors. Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred qualifications include active medical and DEA licensure, experience with value-based care programs, and a focus on evidence-based medicine, collaborative care, and quality measurement. The role may range from Vice President to C-Suite level, and the candidate should be prepared for executive-level discussions with external client partners and be willing to travel as needed.
