Essential duties and responsibilities include:
As an important member of our team you will:
Perform routine reconciliation activities of all payment processing data involving Credit card and ACH processing.
Build Models using statistical methods, programming, and business knowledge.
Manage the preparation of the monthly management reporting package that includes comprehensive payment P&L reporting, operational Dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variances and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences.
Liaise with the various Business Unit Leaders to provide support and explanation for payment revenue and AR as required.
Monitor and analyze the cash flow and bank accounts for payment processing operations
Compare actual results with forecast to analyze and identify areas of strengths and weakness
Work with internal teams to implement models that will be used for operational and risk management purposes to support product offerings. Also, identify reoccurring requests/reports which can be automated.
Design an audit methodology and conduct audits, which measure data quality and verify usability of the data, and going through all reports historically built to ensure compliance.
Collaborate and partner with teams and departments to explore and capture opportunities to use data science and analysis to deliver incremental profit and efficiencies.
Assist on quarterly forecast process by partnering with Business Units leaders
Continuously improve procedures; develop reports to drive insight and accountability
Main contact for Pyxis Portfolio central Finance team
Prepare ad hoc financial and data analysis as required by Management
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study/designations (CPA)
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience as a senior financial analyst, financial analyst, or in a similar position
Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
Previous experience in the Credit card issuing or payment industry considered an asset
Understanding of the payment environment to include origination, returns/ chargebacks, funding an asset
Informing - Ability to summarize differing levels of insight and high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reports.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management. Possesses strong leadership/command skills and demonstrates organizational agility
Ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent technical learning, analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of IFRS is an asset
