Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a crucial role in the leadership and management of the nursing department within our luxury skilled nursing facility. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), the ADON is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate healthcare to our affluent clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight:
Collaborate with the DON to oversee and manage the nursing staff, ensuring proper staffing levels, training, and performance evaluations.
Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and standards that adhere to state and federal regulations, while maintaining a luxury healthcare environment.
Monitor the quality of patient care and nursing practices, making recommendations for improvement as needed to ensure the highest level of service.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to nursing staff, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning among nursing staff to maintain the luxury standards of our facility.
Patient Care Coordination:
Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and personalized care for our discerning patients.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans for complex cases, tailored to meet the unique needs of our luxury clientele.
Address patient and family concerns promptly and serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide exceptional service.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal nursing standards, to maintain licensure and accreditation.
Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and performance improvement activities, enhancing the luxury experience for our residents.
Education and Training:
Assist in the development and implementation of ongoing education and training programs for nursing staff, focusing on maintaining the highest standards of care.
Provide educational support and resources to nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge, contributing to the luxury healthcare services provided.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
