StubHub U.S. PR Manager works with the Head of Brand Comms to execute the strategy for the company's public relations program. The role supports comms project planning, targeting and story development. Supported by an agency, the role focuses on placement across lifestyle, consumer and tastemaker media as well as any activities pertinent to enhancing the success of proactive and reactive PR efforts, including media relationship building.

This role is for a strategist, creative storyteller, and skilled writer who excels at spotting trends, using data to create news, and getting ahead of the narrative. You take ownership of projects, lead with proactivity, see challenges as opportunities, and craft messaging for diverse audiences. The role oversees the development of content editorial calendars, efficient workflow, and content management. You will produce content to meet deadlines and deliver timely stories, always considering an omni-channel approach that clearly articulates brand value propositions and reasons to believe. This role will cover music, sports and entertainment trends, as well as leverage the company's insights through data storytelling, which requires a passion for and keen understanding of how to analyze and form data insights into messaging in a compelling and accurate way. Ultimately, the role helps build and execute an integrated communications approach to enhance and protect the company's reputation and influence external perception.

This position is well-suited to an energetic and proactive individual who is able to function in a fast-paced organization. We're looking for someone who sees business challenges as comms opportunities. Experience working with sports, entertainment, general news or lifestyle reporters is a plus.

This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

About the Team

The Global Communications team is responsible for how we communicate about the company to key stakeholders, including consumers, media, partners, policymakers and employees. Our job is to craft the right narratives that support StubHub's mission to become the go-to live event destination for live events around the world, and to deploy these narratives strategically across all earned channels. We work cross-functionally with every aspect of the business - from Product to Partnerships, Supply to Fulfillment, Customer Support to Acquisition Marketing and more - to help build our reputation, raise brand awareness and affinity for StubHub and our international brand viagogo, as well as create and foster how we communicate with our employees worldwide.

What You'll Do

Strategic development and management of U.S. PR campaigns including communications planning, content development & execution related to our brand and business initiatives.

Map and drive content strategy and annual content plan

Develop, executes and delivers content that drives PR coverage

Work with agency to drive StubHub brand exposure and awareness in consumer-related publications, specifically with pop culture and sports outlets

Manages creative agencies or vendors to ensure quality, creative and timely deliverables

Work with the agency to respond to media inquiries, support agency strategy for managing relationships, clarifying company positions and building goodwill.

Manages and innovates strategies for measuring communication effectiveness and outcomes.

Identifies and recommends new and innovative communication ideas.

Identifies, recommends and manages innovative measurement tools

Stays close to trends, informing strategy on a regular basis

Act as team stakeholder and strategist in cross-functional projects and business verticals

Based in New York City - three days a week hybrid in-office schedule is non-negotiable

Who You Are 5-8 years of relevant working experience in communications, media relations strategy or PR

Strong team player, collaborator, self-starter, independent and entrepreneurial

Experience in an agency or experience leading an agency.

Strong expertise in media relations strategy and able to lead editorial content campaigns.

Proven track record of being able to turn a spark into a strategic business plan, socialize with internal stakeholders, drive buy-in and cross-functional collaboration and execute

Demonstrated project management skills including hands-on management, planning and execution

Strong understanding of the public relations industry, and related knowledge of key trade publications, genre publications and local and national outlets

Strong understanding of the role public relations plays in driving business objectives and in driving consumer sentiment

Experienced in managing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment and able to rigorously prioritize to achieve immediate results and maintain long-term impact.

Ability to connect the right messaging and brand value propositions to the proper consumer pain points

Creative minded and a fresh style of writing from a reader's perspective as well as experience writing for business materials and audiences

Previous experience and knowledge of the sports, e-commerce and entertainment landscape a plus

Strong research and planning skills.

Experience developing and managing innovative measurement tools

Structured approach, eye for detail and ability to manage deadlines.

Able to anticipate ad hoc queries and requests.

$125,000 - $160,000 a year

The anticipated gross base annual salary range for this role is $125,000 - $160,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
