Position: AR/APSpecialist
Responsibilities:
Regularly monitor and manage overdue accounts and invoices, ensuring timely payment collections
Handle accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and maintaining accurate vendor records
Engage in soft B2B collections efforts through phone, email, and text to encourage timely payments
Accurately record and reconcile payments received, keeping financial records up-to-date
Address and resolve invoice discrepancies in coordination with internal teams and external clients/vendors
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and vendors, building strong professional relationships
Implement and suggest improvements to streamline AR/AP processes for better efficiency and accuracy
Keep detailed records of all collections and payment activities to ensure compliance and transparency
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks with professionalism and efficiency
Requirements:
Experience in AR/AP or B2B collections as an AR/AP Clerk, Collections Specialist, or similar role
Knowledge of financial statements and the ability to prepare accounting reports
Solid understanding of GAAP and related financial regulations
Basic understanding of legal requirements and billing procedures related to AR/AP and collection techniques
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and ability to work at high-speed capacity
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel Spreadsheets and accounting software
Comfortable with phone, email, and text communications
Expert negotiation skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations confidently
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
Must be independently proactive and work well in a team
Demonstrated longevity in previous roles
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
