Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Director of Project Management for their Healthcare Security Client in California.
JOB SUMMARY:
As part of the Strategy Execution & Change Management Team, the Director, Project Management is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the project management function within the Security Services portfolio. They will be responsible for managing the PMO and overseeing a team of project and program managers. They will play a pivotal role in aligning project management practices with the Company’s strategic objectives, while applying a level of rigor to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time and within budget.
Projects will be diverse and are expected to include: continuous improvement, KPI/dashboard buildout & management, and service launches into new markets.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
Project Management Office (PMO) Oversight
Establish and maintain the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and procedures to ensure consistent project delivery across the organization.
Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and best practices to optimize project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirements.
Oversee project portfolio management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management, to improve project outcomes and maximize return on investment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Provide regular reporting and communication on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators to stakeholders at all levels.
Partner with finance and project teams to develop and manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality assurance protocols.
Facilitate workshops to enhance processes, programs, and overall organizational goals through the utilization of business frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, executives, and external partners, to ensure agreement and support for project objectives.
Escalate risks and work with the heads of each department to eliminate barriers to work efforts.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead a team of project managers and provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful project execution.
Responsible for day-to-day management of direct reports through effective people management including hiring, retention, coaching and development of team members.
Support the hiring of new staff; ensuring staff are trained and on boarded effectively, assign mentors as required.
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
10+ years experience in program management, portfolio management, and project management methods and techniques
5+ years with project delivery methodologies and tools
Preferred Experience:
Master's Degree
PMP Certification or equivalent in preferred
Strategy, business operations and consulting experience a plus
Experience in unionized environments
Experience in security and/or healthcare a plus
Experience leading business transformations with people, process, and technology changes.
Minimum Qualifications at Entry:
Be 18 years of age and possess an Associate's Degree
Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone)
The legal right to work in the United States
Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license or state-issued I.D.
An active state-issued guard card preferred
Successfully pass the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal
Background Check)
Ability to properly wear an N95 mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines while onsite
