Position Summary
Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Senior UX Designer to transform the way our customers experience digital products and services. This person will deliver quality customer-centered design that drives engagement and improves customer experiences.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Support the overall Digital UX strategy to deliver against our growth OKRs.
Collaborate with product and tech teams to continuously improve web and app experiences.
Communicate design decisions, rationale, and direction through presentations and other documentation.
Create and iterate on flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Gather and apply feedback from stakeholders.
Serve as a subject matter expert for user experience design best practices.
Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, along with a basic understanding of system integrations and dependencies to implement scalable solutions.
Gather research that enhances customer experience by leveraging customer feedback, online trends, benchmarking, marketing/brand activities, click/usage data, etc.
Create testing plans, set up user tests, and coordinate with external partners to execute user tests with qualified testers.
Contribute to design systems and documentation.
Ensure designs are inclusive and meet accessibility standards.
Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
4-7 years of UCD, UX, UI experience.
Proven experience working with multi-departmental teams in gathering requirements to inform UX artifacts.
Proven ability to apply an analytical and data-driven approach to solving complex problems.
Ability to create solutions and communicate rationale across all levels of the organization effectively.
Expertise using Figma for design and prototyping.
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Possesses forward-thinking and consistently explores emerging digital trends.
A portfolio that demonstrates your approach to problem-solving and design processes.
Education Requirements
College degree in design, user experience design, marketing, or psychology preferred
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.'s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $85,000 to $128,000 per year
