Background
RayzeBio is a dynamic biotechnology company headquartered in San Diego, CA. Launched in late 2020 and recently acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) as a wholly owned subsidiary, the company is focused on improving survival of people with cancer by harnessing the power of targeted radioisotopes. RayzeBio will operate as a standalone entity within the BMS organization, maintaining its biotech culture with the opportunity to leverage the best-in-class oncology capabilities of BMS. RayzeBio is developing innovative drugs against targets of solid tumors. The lead asset, RYZ101, is in Phase 3 testing for patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs), as well as earlier stage testing for patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and breast cancer. Led by a successful and experienced entrepreneurial team, RayzeBio aims to be the global leader in radiopharmaceuticals.
Summary
Reporting directly to the President of RayzeBio, a biotech subsidiary of BMS, the Head of Enterprise Digital Enablement, Data Analytics and Insights, and IT is a critical leadership role responsible for driving data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, operational excellence, and the development of cutting-edge AI and machine learning capabilities across the entire organization.
Job Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Digital Strategy and Transformation:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with RayzeBio's business objectives and enables operational efficiency, data-driven insights, enhanced customer experiences, and the integration of AI and machine learning solutions.
- Lead the digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including AI and ML, and innovative approaches to streamline processes, improve data management, and enable seamless collaboration across the organization and BMS
• Data, Analytics, and AI/ML:
- Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, forecasting, data mining, and machine learning models, to drive informed decision-making across medical affairs, commercial operations, manufacturing, and other functional areas.
- Establish a robust data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security while enabling cross-functional access to relevant data sources for AI and analytics initiatives.
- Build and lead a lean team of analytics professionals to develop and deploy AI and machine learning solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with BMS's Business Insights and Analytics and GPS functions to leverage enterprise-wide data resources, align analytics strategies, and share best practices in AI and ML development.
• Commercial Operations and Forecasting:
- Lead the commercial operations team, ensuring efficient and effective execution of sales operations, forecasting, and customer relationship management activities.
- Develop and implement advanced forecasting models and methodologies, leveraging AI and machine learning techniques, to support accurate product demand planning, supply chain optimization, and revenue projections.
- Coordinate with BMS's BIA team to align processes, share best practices, and leverage enterprise-wide resources.
• IT Infrastructure and Systems:
- Oversee the IT infrastructure, systems, and applications within RayzeBio, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with the digital strategy and AI/ML initiatives.
- Collaborate with BMS's IT function to leverage enterprise-wide technology platforms, shared services, and best practices in IT operations, cybersecurity, and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Team Building and Leadership:
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent in the areas of data science, AI, machine learning, analytics, digital technologies, and commercial operations.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within the organization, promoting the adoption and effective use of AI and ML solutions.
• Product Launch and Commercialization:
- Play a pivotal role in the successful launch and commercialization of new products, leveraging data-driven insights, digital tools, advanced analytics, and AI/ML models to optimize market positioning, sales forecasting, operational readiness, and personalized customer experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, commercial, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless product launch execution and alignment with RayzeBio's and BMS's strategic objectives.
• Up to 10% of travel required
Education and Experience
• College/University degree (advanced degree preferred)
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
