Job Description The Professional Services role within Arista takes client engagements from initial design through implementation and migration and continues on to provide in life operational support. This ensures a seamless transition for customers from initial exposure to full operational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer situation to develop requirements and gather technical requirements for the purpose of designing a network to be deployed.
Develop and provide designs in line with requirements. Write High and Low Level Design documents based on gathered requirements for guidance and reference during and after Arista network deployment
Implementation and migration planning detail and support
Write and execute test plans for purpose of validating newly deployed Arista networks once the deployment is complete in order to ensure new infrastructures are capable of carrying production network traffic.
Work with customers to plan, write, and execute Methods of Procedure documents outlining steps to seamlessly migrate production network traffic from legacy infrastructure to the newly deployed Arista Network Fabric.
Perform Knowledge Transfer training on Arista network designs, platforms, and features to Arista Professional Services customers.
Ongoing operational support to the customer
Develop professional relationships with customers to assist them with Arista solution deployment projects.
Assist project management in developing project plans to track deployment project task execution, communication cadence with customers, and timelines.
Travel to customer locations required.
Qualifications Specializing in design and deployment of industry-leading networking solutions.
Ability to develop accurate and meaningful requirements.
High level and low level design experience for Spine & Leaf infrastructure.
Advanced network protocol knowledge, especially BGP, EVPN, VXLAN and SR.
Linux operating system and scripting knowledge.
Experience of delivering technical and operational training to customers
Basic/Advanced Python programming skills
10+ years of industry experience focused on IP networks
Led and delivered several projects including greenfield implementations, complete migrations and integration efforts.
A computer science (or similar) degree
Prior Arista Hardware or EOS experience
CCIE and/or JNCIE certifications/ equivalents, security certifications such as CISSP/equivalents
Excellent written and verbal skills
Additional Information The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $117,000 to $185,000 across the US.
Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and
competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
