Project Manager, Technology Project Mgmt. (Corporate)

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading technology project efforts across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for working with internal business partners, external operators and vendors to identify, perform due diligence and deliver on technology and process improvement opportunities. The Project Manager will manage several projects independently and play an integral role in continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for project definition, due diligence, planning and end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process.

Partners with internal and external business stakeholders and technical teams to scope project proposals and plan work, communicating progress and roadblocks to organizational leadership.

Develops and leverages relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet strategic business objectives.

Coordinate with vendors on statements of work. Track process against the contract ensuring commitments to the stated deliverables and timelines are met.

Monitor and manage project timeline, spend and internal resource hours. Present budget updates to team and finance leadership.

Conducts project meetings and provides regular and thorough status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Assists in change management related to the implementation of new technology or processes (e.g. communications, end user training).

Support the completion of project deliverables and close out of project documentation.

Assess project needs or issues, develop recommendations, facilitate business decision making with executives.

Coordinate end user testing, bug tracking and fixes.

Track and communicate project results through both quantitative KPIs and qualitative user feedback (e.g. on time, on budget, etc.).

Ensure alignment among stakeholders, technical teams and vendors on roles, responsibilities and expectations.

Provides day-to-day leadership and management consistent with Welltower’s core values.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The Project Manager will serve as a consultative resource for external business partners as well as many departments, including but not limited to Information Management, Business Insights, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Corporate Finance, Human Capital, Legal and Real Estate Services.

TRAVEL

Out-of-area and overnight travel should be expected as outlined in specific projects for which this role will engage.

COMPETENCIES

Strong leadership skills, work ethic and willingness to lead a project-based schedule.

Demonstrated track record of accountability and diligence delivering on commitments.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail.

Experience with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Human Capital or enterprise applications a plus, especially in SOX controlled environments.

Experience and understanding of various project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile), coordination of user testing and solution documentation.

Experience in the real estate industry and in real estate operations a plus.

Experience with project management solutions (e.g., Smartsheets, Jira).

Experience with reporting, dashboarding, data analysis (e.g. advanced Excel, MS Power BI).

Experience leading process improvements and creating business process diagrams (e.g. Visio).

Experience working directly with engineering and other technical teams.

Aptitude for learning new software applications.

Strong communication skills: presentation, written, and oral and ability to professionally interact across multiple departments and with various levels of leadership.

Strong team player with a focus towards customer service, collaboration and an ability to build effective relationships with partners as well as colleagues at all levels across the organization.

Ability to self-motivate, independently formulate plans, and work in a dynamic environment.

Positive attitude and high degree of professionalism.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

Five or more years work experience in Consulting or Project Management related to IT, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Human Capital or similar roles.

Seniors Housing or Medical Office industry experience and/or demonstrated business acumen in real estate, financial services, or health care preferred.

Experience coordinating system projects, including managing internal resources and external consultants.

Experience with Yardi, ERP, RMIS, HRIS, Reporting solutions or other Seniors Housing industry software a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Systems Engineering or related field preferred. Graduate degree is a plus.

Agile, Six Sigma, Scrum Master, or PMP certification preferred
