Overview Of Role/Job Purpose:
Senior Business Analyst will work with clients to analyze their business needs and manage initiatives for product delivery in a transformational, fast paced environment at VertexOne. This is a customer focused role within VertexOne and requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, initiatives, and customer relationships.
The position will support the software development and customization for the client. Key responsibilities would include leading kickoffs, coordinating with the team to create the system design, QA testing, and keeping and schedule adherence. Liaison with data engineers and developers communicating business and technical gaps and creating solutions.
The role needs a positive "can do" attitude with a passion for delivering, self-motivation, and a proactive approach. Individuals need to take responsibility, be organized, and demonstrate a professional approach to their work.
Essential Job Duties:
Ensure an effective governance model is defined and implemented to ensure project success
Create and manage project plan components
Ensure Critical Path is understood and managed
Ensure Milestones are defined and met
Monitor project progress. Escalate issues in a timely manner.
Schedule appropriate meetings related to the projects as needed
Work with third party vendors during requirements, design, and testing phases.
Perform the required research to identify gaps between the business requirements and the current functionality.
Review requirements, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solution
Liaise between clients/users and technology architects/developers to ensure precision and clarity in requirements and technology solutions.
Manage and support process definitions and process improvements both with internal teams and with client to streamline and build transparency between the teams, while reducing redundancy, overhead, and administrative tasks
Perform System, Functional and Integration Testing to ensure product quality remains at the highest level, including dealing with workload peaks without compromising quality/standards.
Investigate production issues and assist with troubleshooting, re-creating, and resolving those.
Become a subject matter expert on the CIS application and the other integrated systems.
Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
Assist in the training initiatives
Support product strategy initiatives and continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
Escalate and communicate issues to VertexOne Management or Clients as needed
Work cooperatively in a team environment to meet the goals of the department and of the company.
Skills And Qualifications:
5+ years working experience as a Business Analyst in the Software Development industry.
5+ years working experience creating detailed Business and Technical documents such as Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Functional/Technical Specifications, Interfaces, Web User Interface (UI) and Workflows, Use Cases, User Guides, Defect Analysis Reports etc.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with relational databases and SQL (Structured query language).
Excellent understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information technology systems.
Highly organized and able to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions
Solid background with Process mapping, Task analysis (use case, user stories).
Demonstrated experience with business process design.
Strong product management skills, including the ability to interpret client’s needs and translate them into system requirements and solutions.
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and to manage constant change through innovation, adaptability, agility, and flexibility.
Excellent interpersonal skills and highly experienced at dealing with clients/users at all levels, individually and in groups.
Proficient in common desktop applications (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, etc.).
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, team goals, manage multiple projects while focusing on priorities.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task at any one time while maintaining high quality standards and productivity.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Highly Self-motivated and proactive.
Conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.
Knowledge of and experience with Customer Information Systems (CIS) Billing systems is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with Web APIs and Batch Processes is preferred.
