Job Description:
The Business Innovations team at Genesys is looking for a new Software Engineer Manager who will lead a team of developers and support the architecture and on-going advancements in our cloud environments that hosts our business applications using native and containerized deployment methodologies.This group is globally responsible for the DevOps, governance, automation, delivery, and support of software development teams that create cloud hosted solutions for Genesys Customers. The teams' offerings include custom Contact Center Applications, Genesys product extensions, third-party systems integration, as well as consulting services around software development for customers and partners working with Genesys products and services. We manage the CI/CD pipeline, build internal tools, perform code/architecture reviews, keep security in mind, and look for ways to always improve our automation and availability using the latest and greatest technology.
The successful candidate must demonstrate significant skill in the following areas:
Cloud applications and deployments for AWS with a passion to explore new concepts and technologies.
Ability to lead a team effectively and mentor cross-functionally in support of the greater learning/enablement programming best practices .
Experience working with and managing communications directly with internal business stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
Software languages and technologies, NodeJS, Angular, ReactJS, lambda , and container technology.
What You'll Do
Manage a team of several (up to 9) software engineers who work on angular/react/Node JS full stack applications
Mentor and assign technical tasks to team members.
Design new software features through agile development practices.
Impement New features, including managing support issues and monitoring the applications.
See features through requirements to deployment to production.
Participate in code pull requests as a reviewer and author, staying open to constructive comments.
Recommend new technologies as components of a solution when appropriate.
Work with the business to translate requirements into technical design.
General applications development using NodeJS, and React For Lambda and container deployment when needed.
Additional Job Requirements:
Documented work history managing successful development teams within a similar business and team capacity.
Full stack engineer with 7 plus commercial software development experience.
Knowledge of building container solutions such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with deploying cloud solutions, administrative procedures and configuration for Windows and Linux operating environments.
Experience with design and development of tools for managing the infrastructure and experience with programmed clean & re-usable code.
Demonstrate solid analytical programming and problem-solving skills including software operation diagnostics
Good working experience with database administration/optimization
Experience with Continuous Integration and deployment with automated testing
Enjoys context switching as quickly as the situation demands.

Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$122,850.00 - $241,150.00 Benefits:
