We are looking for a Staff / Senior Accountant to join our team!
Responsibilities: Prepare business and individual federal and state tax returns.
Work on Compilation and Review engagements.
Prepare quarterly/annual payroll tax returns and make tax deposits for clients
Respond to IRS inquiries on behalf of clients and assist with tax audits
Identify tax issues and work with Managers to determine timely and efficiently including impact of enacted and proposed legislation
Maintain highest quality of service to client by developing a thorough understanding of clients’ business and staying abreast of tax law changes.
Qualifications: Bachelor in accounting or similar degree.
Staff: One to three years of progressive experience in public accounting.
Senior: Three years or more of progressive experience in public accounting
Proficiency in tax compliance/consulting and US GAAP.
Knowledge of tax and accounting software and technology.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of government contractor industry practices or Deltek a plus
