World Relief seeks an Operations Specialist who will provide overall systems and project management leadership to the team with five key objectives: 1) Operationalize multiple Church & Community Engagement work streams, 2) Ensure cross-departmental collaboration is effective and efficient 3) Drive project management including timelines, assignments, and execution, 4) Develop and streamline systems that mitigate barriers and inefficiencies, and 5) Provide cross-team leadership for onboarding and developing CCE Staff.

Role & Responsibilities

1) Operationalize multiple Church & Community Engagement work streams:

Apply structures and systems based on ROI analysis that will ensure the effective and efficient growth CCE.

Implement quality assurance measures for products/services.

Provide strategic consulting to leadership on overall planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery of projects.

Support multi-year strategic planning and reporting in close coordination with the leadership team.

2) Ensure cross-departmental collaboration is effective and efficient:

Liaise specifically between the Virtual Reception & Placement and Church & Community Engagement teams.

Reduce silos between teams and departments and ensure all needed parties are included in and up to date on progress for projects/Initiatives/OKRs.

Build the relationships, mutual understanding, and trust needed to advance project management practices.

Anticipate, identify and troubleshoot issues of concern or significance; exercising discretion to provide timely information and necessary updates across multiple stakeholders.

3) Drive project management including timelines, assignments, and execution:

Coordinate resources, schedule, and scope for great project results.

Lead the implementation of a select set of projects that are part of the CCE change journey.

Apply the right project management methods (Agile, Kanban, PMI) to the goals and style of the project.

Handle budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to meet strategic initiatives.

4) Develop and streamline systems that mitigate barriers and inefficiencies:

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for efficient operations.

Manage the CCE calendar, enabling ongoing (quarterly, monthly) strategic conversations and decisions.

Strategic Direction - utilizing ProfitCo, assist with the creation and management of departmental OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

Enhance systems, processes, and best practices.

Mange CCE Knowledge Management on SharePoint.

Develop, grow, and maintain the CCE Departmental Handbook.

5) Provide cross-team leadership for onboarding and developing CCE Staff:

Enhance employee and team performance, offering coaching, training, and feedback for improvement - focusing on Clifton Strengths and Cultural Identity.

Develop CCE Onboarding and Training content library.

Communications - manage regular and one-time communications to the leadership team and other parts of the organization.

Oversee staffing plans, recruitment, and training.

Manage new position hiring workflows.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strategic thinker with strong planning, administrative and organizational skills; ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, work independently and within a team; ability to work under pressure.

Possesses a flexible working style and thrives in ambiguity and paradox.

Detail oriented with excellent analytical/data/problem solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certification and experience with a variety of portfolio and project methodologies with the ability to adapt and apply the right method for the work (Agile, Kanban, Scrum, etc.)

Strong administrative and project management skills.

History of involvement in a local church.

Ability to guide operational strategy from vision to metrics.

Experience guiding initiatives from piloting to growing to scaling.

Fluent in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, Dynamics and Teams preferred.
