Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in fostering a data-driven culture across our organization, enabling departments to leverage data comprehensively and facilitating data teams in building models, AI, and machine learning solutions. Your expertise will drive the development and maintenance of our state-of-the-art cloud-based data platform, which is central to powering our globally recognized brand. Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain highly scalable and robust data management systems tailored to specific business needs and challenges.

Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices for data integrity, security, and accessibility.

Build, maintain, develop, test, deploy and enhance our data pipelines and systems

Collaborate with data team and stakeholders including data architects, Executive and Product from the beginning to the delivery of a project

Ensure the highest quality of data is made available throughout the entire organization and systems meeting our SLAs

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Experience Experience working in an online, gaming, or fast-moving industry

3-5+ years of work experience in data engineers and data platforms

Must have experience in successfully implementing data-centric applications, such as data warehouses, operational data stores, and data integration projects

Experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and Python

Experience working with terabyte to petabyte scale data

Functional/Technical Skills Proven track record in data engineering with large scale production data platforms, showcasing successful project deliveries.

Proficiency in SQL database design and multiple programming languages such as Python or Java.

Extensive experience with major cloud data platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.

Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.

Proficient with one or more big data & new data technologies such as DBT, Apache NiFi, Airflow, Kafka

Knowledge in working with time-series/analytics databases such as Elasticsearch

Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker/Kubernetes

Familiarity with Marketing tooling and/or CRM systems is preferred

Familiarity with using business intelligence tools such as Domo, Superset or other similar tooling

Skills Excellent Verbal and written Communication skills; must be fluent in English

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that balance with creative approaches

Ability to take ownership of projects with diligence and consistency in carrying out tasks with a high level of attention to detail and priority

Collaborative, able to engage in interactive discussions with the rest of the team and able to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely
