What will you be doing:
Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting Premier’s next generation Utilization Management platform. This position will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team comprised of engineers, product managers, clinical experts, and data scientists.
Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing commercial software with web-based service architecture as well as experience with good engineering practices like continuous integration/deployment, automated testing, thorough test coverage, and so on.
This role will have full latitude for independent judgment when applying skills and problem-solving capabilities, with input and minimal oversight. This individual is also expected to keep their skillset up to date by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.
Required Qualifications
Experience building web applications with a complex, data-rich domain in Python (prior experience with fastAPI and SQLAlchemy is very helpful)
Automated provisioning / deployment pipelines and other devOps tooling (prior experience with Ansible / AWS build is helpful)
Experience with relational and non-relational database concepts (prior experience with Postgres is especially helpful)

Experience developing with Docker
Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $80,000 - $148,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
