**Job Description:**

****Quality Lead Engineer Transportation Infrastructure****

Our Parsons ****Atlanta office**** is now hiring for a ****Quality Lead Engineer**** to provide support for ****road & highway projects in Metro Atlanta.****

With minimal supervision, responsible for the set-up, implementation, documentation, and auditing of **quality control procedures** associated with the **design review process** for the owner verification plan on a design/build major interstate interchange reconstruction project. Provide continuous surveillance of design review activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Set up and maintain document control procedures to comply with **both Georgia DOT and FHWA reporting requirements**. Schedule quality audits as required to satisfy the owner verification program. **This role will be based in our East Atlanta Field office, near the junction of 1-285 East, and I-20.**

**Responsibilities:**

* Review, suggest changes, update Design Quality Assurance Plan for compliance with Georgia DOT Owner Verification (OV) requirements.

* Oversee and schedule quality audits to assure compliance with contract specifications and requirements.

* Perform contract documentation duties, which will include quality control of OV records, verification of design related deliverables and other owner required documentation.

* Requires full-time, in-person at the project field office near Atlanta, Georgia.

* Other duties as assigned by the construction manager.

**Qualifications:**

* Graduation from a four-year college with a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and (8) years of progressive transportation experience; or graduation from a two (2) year technical college with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology and (10) years of progressive transportation experience, or OVF for a State Highway Agency, or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.

* Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications related to road and bridge construction

* Experience with Georgia DOT projects is highly desirable, but not required.

* Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

* Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia law.
