**Job Summary and Qualifications**

**What You Will Do In This Role:**

· You will perform delegated functions in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

· You will perform procedures related to decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for Surgical Services and Nursing units.

· You will review sterilization records and prepares reports as assigned.

· You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.

· You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.

· You will need to have knowledge of care handling inspection, safety testing and process improvement plans regarding Safety for patients and staff.

**What qualifications you will need:**

· Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CRST) is required.

· Completion of a Sterile Processing program required.

· Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred
