UX Content Strategist

Fidelity TalentSource is currently sourcing a temporary UX Writer/Content Strategist for Fidelity Investments, and you might just be the person we're looking for!

The role

Working with designers, researchers, business partners, and other members of the team, you'll help us create simple, streamlined experiences across mobile and web. You'll write, edit, and iterate on digestible, jargon-free, and human-first content that adheres to our guidelines and you'll participate in the strategy and user testing to get us there. Driven by data and empathy, you'll help people better understand their financial situation, know their next best action, and help them feel more confident about their plans for the future.

You'll support several initiatives, sometimes simultaneously, while staying focused on solving the key priorities for your team. This may mean taking feedback, presenting and defending your work, thinking about inclusivity and accessibility, and advocating for our customers' needs. You'll be their voice in understanding how to talk with them, not at them. Every day will look a little different, but every day will help us get one step closer to delivering on our goals.

The expertise and skills you bring

Confidence in your writing skills (6+ years in content strategy, technical writing, UX writing, or digital content design). Bachelor's degree or equivalent would be great.

A self-starter attitude and an appreciation for the why of things, committed to defining the ask and getting results. That's just how you operate.

Track record of breaking down complex topics into bitesize bits of information that the average layperson can understand-and legal will approve.

Can carry a project to completion, please some people while finding common ground with others, and present new ideas with authority yet openness.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-function, client-centric, fast-paced environment with agile teams experience preferred. Experience in financial services is a plus.

You would join a small, tight-knit content team. And you would report into a larger, 130-strong team of creators, visionaries, technical writers, former educators, long-time journalists, and passionate poets of all different backgrounds. Even though we're big we feel small, and there is plenty of support to upskill in your craft, discuss everything down to the Oxford comma, and grow in your career.
